Mission
Statement
The
Training Center for Community and Economic Development
(TCCED) is the business and industry training component
of West Kentucky Community & Technical College that
exists to provide non-credit and credit, general and customized
training for economic development in Western Kentucky.
This
listing provides brief summaries of our most utilized
training topics as we offer them in general classes for
the public. Each topic can be specifically customized
for a company's special needs. Additionally, our
certification programs are available to meet the growing
need of the workforce. TCCED staff is available to provide
free initial consultation upon request to ascertain need,
scope and location of all training services.

Training Center
for Community and Economic Development (TCCED)
can bring you a qualified, professional trainer with business
and industrial experience to meet your training needs.
Our offices and meeting facilities are located at West
Kentucky Community & Technical College in the Nemer
Building.

COMMITMENTS
Courses
offered through the Training Center for Community and Economic Development are open to the public on a scheduled
basis or customized for specific business needs and offered
at the time and location that the company requests. The
Training Center serves over 250 companies annually with
general and custom training programs that have 99% excellent
and good evaluations.
Kentucky
Community Technical Colleges System (KCTCS) provides synergistic
training at the Training Center through coordination and duplication
of hundreds of business and industry training models that
have been adopted or developed and proven in settings
across the Commonwealth and the nation. The Training Center
and any Purchase Area-based company can access these models
to assist any workforce development need.
Our
center's business and industry training assists the corporate
community as they compete in local and global economies.
We provide the workforce with training in current skills
necessary for both managers and hourly workers to develop
high performance organizations.
Continuing
Education Units are available for qualified training
programs and are issued promptly to individual participants.
Records of participation, class content, date and location
are kept for documentation and evaluation purposes.
Funding
assistance for many
training services is available through Ky Wins, a KCTCS
program. Local proposals for funding can be developed
and coordinated for eligible industries.
Initial
discussions of need are conducted without charge by the
staff of the Training Center. We have a wide array of
services which will help your company be more productive
and profitable. We are a provider and broker of training
from throughout Western Kentucky, the state and the nation.
Training for your employees is arranged when and where
you need it.
Avenues
to credit courses are available through the Training
Center Services. Referral to KCTCS's Academic Departments
have resulted in special credit course development. These
courses can be taught on-site, on-campus, or through convenient
distance learning models.
