Basic
Quilting Certificate - 4.5 credit hours
Provides the student with the basic quilting knowledge and skills to design, piece and finish a quilt. Students are allowed to pursue individual interests by taking quilting electives. Students are prepared to continue their studies and work towards the Intermediate Quilting Certificate. All of your classes and the 4.5 credit hours will apply toward the Intermediate Quilting Certificate.
Requirements:
- 0.5 credit hours from Basic Quilting Lecture
Classes
- 2 credit hours from classes in Piecing
- 2 credit hours from quilting classes of your choice
Intermediate Quilting
Certificate - 11 credit hours
Provides the student with additional quilting skills and basic knowledge in color, design and appliqué. Students are allowed to pursue individual interests by taking quilting electives. Students are prepared to continue their studies and work towards the Advanced Quilting Certificate. All of your classes and the 11 credit hours will apply toward the Advanced Quilting Certificate.
Requirements:
- 0.5 credit hours from Basic Quilting Lecture Classes
- 1 credit hour from Color & Design Classes
- 1 credit hour from Appliqué Classes
- Complete enough AQS workshops from the Appliqué Section that will equate to 1 cr. hr. of college credit.
- 8.5 (8 ½ ) credit hours from quilting classes of your choice
- If you have the Basic Quilting Certificate, you can count those 4.5 credit hours in this certificate.
Advanced Quilting
Certificate - 18 credit hours
Provides the student with additional knowledge of quilting software, technology, and basic knowledge in embroidery and embellishment techniques. Students are allowed to pursue individual interests by taking quilting electives. Students are prepared to continue their studies and work towards the Master Quilting Certificate. All of your classes and the 18 credit hours will apply toward the Master Quilting Certificate.
Requirements:
- 1 credit hour from classes in Quilting Software & Technology
- 1 credit hour fro classes in Embroidery & Embellishments
- 16 credit hours from quilting classes of your choice
- If you have the Intermediate Quilting Certificate, you can count those 11 credit hours in this certificate.
Master Quilting
Certificate - 25 credit hours
Provides the student with advanced knowledge of quilting software and technology. Students are allowed to pursue individual interests by taking quilting electives.
Requirements:
- 1 credit hour from classes in Quilting
Software & Technology
- 24 credit hours from quilting classes of
your choice
- If you have the Advanced Quilting Certificate,
you can count those 18 credit hours in this certificate.
